Feeling comfortable, content, and secure can be the first stage of stagnation. Those who succeed and remain on top are always pushing, stretching, and learning new things; they understand that if they don’t, they will soon be losing to someone or some organization who is stepping out of their
Comfort Zone, striving to get better. You can’t do the same things every day and improve. Great things never come to those who remain in their
Comfort Zone. I would like to share a few quotes, which will help us all understand the importance of stepping out of our
Comfort Zone.

Ask yourself a simple question …
“Is what I am doing taking me where I want to go,” because if it isn’t, then it’s time to do something different.
Comfort Zones kill progress, growth, innovation and success. Remember, regardless if you fail or succeed, taking the chance will ALWAYS make you wiser. I hope the poem below (author unknown), will help you step out of your
Comfort Zone and reach your dreams, goals and aspirations.

Comfort Zone
I used to have a Comfort Zone,
where I knew I could not fail;
The same four walls of busy work,
were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things
I’d never done before,
but I stayed inside my Comfort Zone
and paced the same old floor.
I said it didn’t matter,
that I wasn’t doing much;
I said I didn’t care for such things
like dreams, goals, and such.
I claimed to be so busy with
the things inside my zone,
but deep inside I longed for
something special of my own.
I couldn’t let my life go by,
just watching others win.
I held my breath and stepped outside,
and let the change begin.
I took a step and with new strength
I’d never felt before,
I kissed my Comfort Zone “good-bye”
and closed and locked the door.
If you are in a Comfort Zone,
afraid to venture out,
remember that all winners were
at one time filled with doubt.
All it takes is a leap of faith
to make your dreams come true.
Greet your future with a smile,
because success is there for you.

RULE #22:
Meaningful Success
comes from those who are
willing to risk failure,
willing to take risks,
willing to stretch the boundaries,
and willing to try something new.
