They have the ability to think strategically, but more importantly, they don’t get sidetracked. What I mean by sidetracked is they don’t let their day run them, they run their day. 50% of them have the habit of getting up three hours before their work day begins and workout, meditate and then spend 60-90 minutes of that time deciding what it is they are going to accomplish that day before ever watching TV, reading a newspaper, and especially reading their emails; they don’t want anything to sabotage their day.
“They” decide what needs to be accomplished before they ever go to work or read any emails; focusing on what they think is important is their #1 priority. We all have a lot of things we do during a day, but there are usually only 2 or 3 critical things that need to be done; the rest can take a back seat and be done at a later time, or delegated to someone else. Billionaires understand, the key to a successful day is “deciding on” and then “taking care of” those 2-3 critical things.
Billionaires are also tenacious readers
(learning from others and staying on top of things). Warren Buffet spends 80% of his workday reading and Bill Gates reads about 50 books per year. There is not enough time in your life to learn it all by yourself. So, go to school on those who have already done it. And, one other thing they do is they stick to routines … the most important one …getting up 3 hours before their work day begins and preparing their body and then their mind for what needs to be done TODAY.
Don’t ever confuse activity with accomplishments … we can all find something to do. Successful people decide what NEEDS to be done and then they DO IT… they don’t get sidetracked!
